Holly joined Farrar’s Building in October 2023 after successfully completing her pupillage. During her pupillage she gained experience across Chambers’ core areas of practice including Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Regulatory Law.

Holly appears in court regularly for both claimants and defendants. She accepts a range of instructions including small claims, fast track trials, and interim applications. She is developing a paperwork practice and is happy to accept instructions to draft pleadings, schedules and counter schedules as well as to advise on liability, quantum and tactics.

Holly has a keen interest in disability rights and has previously appeared on BBC Radio 4’s “Law in Action” podcast and the “Disability’s not a Bar” podcast as well as speaking at Bar Council events discussing her experience.

Personal Injury

Holly is developing a busy personal injury practice. She is regularly instructed on small claims and fast track trials and is happy to accept instructions for interim applications and Stage 3 disposals.

She also accepts paperwork instructions to draft pleadings, schedules and counter schedules as well as to advise on liability, quantum and tactics.

Holly is willing to accept instructions on a CFA basis.

Clinical Negligence

Holly is developing her practice in this area, having gained exposure to clinical negligence work during her pupillage. She has a particular interest in cases relating to consent and delayed diagnosis.

She welcomes instructions in this area on behalf of both claimants and defendants.

Regulatory & Disciplinary

Holly is interested in all aspects of regulatory law and is building on her previous experience working for the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) to develop a regulatory and disciplinary law practice.

She has acted for a number of regulators, including the NMC, Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), General Optical Council (GOC) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She has presented cases relating to a wide range of allegations including clinical concerns, sexual misconduct and financial misconduct and has experience of presenting substantive hearings of over 20 days in length.

Inquests

Holly is developing her inquests practice. In October 2024 she was led by a silk in a multi-day inquest representing the family of the deceased on a pro-bono basis.

Credit Hire

Holly is regularly instructed in credit hire matters for both claimants and defendants. She is adept at handling all aspects of credit hire including the issues of need, enforceability, impecuniosity, period, rate and intervention.

Civil Fraud

Holly is happy to accept instructions from both claimants and defendants where issues of fraud and/or fundamental dishonesty arise.
