Katriona started pupillage in October 2024 and is currently under the supervision of Joshua Hedgman. She will obtain experience in Chambers’ core areas including Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence.

After completing the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) Katriona worked as a paralegal at Stewarts, initially in the Divorce and Family department. In 2022, Katriona moved to the Personal Injury department at Stewarts, assisting a Partner with cases involving brain injuries, amputations and spinal cord injuries. Through this, she gained experience in road traffic accident, employer’s liability and occupiers liability cases, while liaising with clients, conducting research and reviewing medical evidence gave her a practical understanding of the procedures of such cases.

During her BPTC year, Katriona was a Student Advisor at the University of Law’s Legal Advice Centre, providing pro bono advice and support to clients seeking Child Arrangement Orders, drafting statements and applications, advising on the process and presenting their cases to the  court.
