Lauren is developing her practice in this area. She has advised, drafted pleadings and conducted conferences with medical experts in a variety of clinical negligence cases. Interesting examples include matters involving the negligent performance of an abortion, the late diagnosis and treatment of a kidney infection in a pregnant woman and the negligent failure to suppress a disease outbreak in hospital. During her pupillage in Chambers, Lauren additionally gained insight into cases involving the late diagnosis of cancer and failure to obtain informed consent. She is well placed to provide written advice on liability, quantum and Part 36 offers and is happy to accept instructions on behalf of both claimants and defendants.
